We’re coming up to the halfway point in the year, punctuated by mid-season festivities like the All-Star Game. But first, let’s celebrate the top subscription box sales in June.
Home Team Box is a monthly baseball card subscription box featuring cards ONLY from your favorite team. This season, we’ve also introduced a “mixed box” for fans who enjoy collecting the top stars and prospects, no matter which team they play for.
Do Home Team Box subscriptions show how successful a team is? We’re finding out this year through our monthly subscriber countdowns. In May, the Boston Red Sox had the most subscribers. Who led in June?
5. New York Yankees
The New York Yankees fall from 4th to 5th on the list of top June 2024 baseball card subscription boxes.
In June, the team played to a .519 winning percentage. The good news is, they reinstated Gerrit Cole mid-month, adding some much needed starting pitching. With an injury to Anthony Rizzo, they also acquired JD Davis from the Oakland Athletics.
The key to New York’s success this year, despite numerous injuries, has been the middle of the lineup. Anchored by Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, both players have had MVP-caliber seasons so far. Fans love to find their cards in their subscription boxes.
4. Baltimore Orioles
Sitting right above the Yankees is a familiar spot for Baltimore this year. The Orioles have been the surprise of the league, unless you’re an O’s fan – then, you know this was a long time coming. Baltimore fans have responded to the team’s wonderful 2024 season by buying Orioles subscription boxes. The team came 3rd on the list last month.
Top prospects Connor Norby and Cade Povich debuted in June. The team also suffered through a series of pitching injuries, most notably to Kyle Bradish and Danny Coulombe. The Orioles will need to load up on pitching at the trade deadline to keep pace with their hot start in 2024.
3. Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves were 5th on last month’s subscription box list, but they’ve moved up to 3rd on our list of June 2024 baseball card subscription boxes.
Last month saw injuries to Ronald Acuna and Michael Harris II, as well as the inauspicious MLB debut of Hurston Waldrep. As a result, they finished the month with 14 wins and 13 losses. However, this is the Braves we’re talking about. Even without their top player, this is still one of the top teams in the league.
2. St. Louis Cardinals
Last month, the St. Louis Cardinals finished second to the Red Sox in our countdown of baseball card subscription boxes, and they’re second on our list again.
The team has played .500 ball this season, staying in the middle of the pack in a year of incredible parity. The combination of the Cardinals stalwarts – Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt – and the emergence of Masyn Winn, makes this a fun team to watch. They’ve also received quality starting pitching performances from a pair of veterans – Sonny Gray and Kyle Gibson.
1. Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox have never accomplished a three-peat in Major League Baseball, but in our countdown of the top baseball card subscription boxes, they’re at the top for the third month in a row.
Jarren Duran is taking a step forward for Boston, becoming one of their most exciting players. He has also helped propel the team to a .500 record. With the team’s young core beginning to improve, things are starting to look up for the franchise. It’s no wonder the Red Sox have had the best-selling baseball subscription box for the third straight month.
